Acton Bridge Bowling Club Acton Bridge BC now have their own website - actonbridgeflatgreenbowlingclub.org.uk Bowls Lancashire Ladies Charlotte Phipps is organising a ladies
meeting on Saturday 4th February at 12.15 in the Clubhouse at Bolton to discuss
the Ladies Team Manager and Ladies Secretary vacancies. Please make an effort to attend to secure the future
of Ladies Inter County bowling. The meeting is open to all ladies from all the
Clubs within the County. Bolton Vice President Charlotte invites those
ladies who are attending to take part in the Bolton Saturday Frostbite after the
meeting (if weather permits play on the green). For those of you with access to the secure members area of the site a letter from the former Team Manager can be viewed there. Championship Draws 2012 These have been done and are available to view following the link on the right. The As Drawn dates are provisional at the present time and ARE subject to ratification. Prior to the start of the season it is advisable that ALL players fully familiarise themselves with the Championship Rules. Decision from last Executive meeting. Ladies Blazers Despite the best efforts of various people, the Red Blazer currently worn by the Ladies representing the county, cannot be sourced. The Executive fully considered the feelings of those who represented the County but found it difficult to put off the inevitable and decided to confirm their decision taken in January of this year. From now on the Blazer for the ladies has been dispensed with and the County Jacket will be worn in it's place. Junior Event Starting in the 2012 season this event will no longer be played as pairs and instead will now be a 'singles event' run as a 'Round Robin' in the early stages with the later rounds being a 'knockout'.
